Second Day 14th UNIGAMES Updates
ILOILO, Philippines – The second day of the 14th UNIGAMES was full of fun and enjoyment particularly in Taekwondo Women’s Division when the host university, Central Philippine University (CPU) defeated Dela Salle University of St. Benilde.
Far Eastern University excelled from Assumption College of Makati; San Agustin-Bacolod versus Assumption College of Makati and Dela Salle College of St. Benilde from Holy Angel University.
Rizal Technological University defeated Foundation University in Basketball Men with a score of 70-48 while Emilio Aguinaldo College outshone University of the Immaculate Conception, 92-46.
Ilonggo coach of St. Francis of Assisi Gabby Velasco and his assistant coach, Jose Luis Monfort were very happy when the team defeated Xavier University de Cagayan for the overtime game with a score of 106-94.
USLS – Bacolod Football Team wins first game
University of St. La Salle – Bacolod football team ruled Silliman University. The thrill and enthusiasm of the players and spectators were unbated all throughout the game, which was held at CPU Football Field.
La Salle’s co-athletes cheered at the side fields. Silliman Team’s determination did not subside even if their opponent advanced quickly. There were no goals in the remaining minutes of the game nonetheless the missed points and intensity added spice to the game.
As the current defending champion of the Universities Atheletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) in Softball, AdU will prove their title’s worth in the UNIGAMES.
The other participating teams are Rizal Technological University (RTU) and the University of Sto. Tomas (UST).
