ESPN Baseball Analyst Steve Phillips got fired! – Yes, Steve Phillips has been fired by the ESPN network after having been coiled with his ESPN assistant, Brooke Hundley.
Phillips has been suspended by the ESPN management for a week after details of his relationship emerged. In an official statement made by the network on October 25, 2009 during Game 6 of the ALCS:
“Steve Phillips is no longer working for ESPN,” network spokesman Josh Krulewitz said in a statement. “His ability to be an effective representative for ESPN has been significantly and irreparably damaged, and it became evident it was time to part ways.”
Well, sorry to hear this. So sad in his part, indeed! I think he was fired not for his affair with Brooke Hundley but because his stained image no longer conforms to the morals of ESPN. ***sigh
