The Pacquiao-Clottey Event fight has all set and it will take this coming March 13 at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium. This new $1.2 billion state-of-the-art facility in Arlington, Texas, will host this pay-per-view welterweight title duel.

Top Rank’s Bob Arum is very persistent in maintaining this historic event alive as place of Manny’s fight.

“I have never had an experience where the venue has played such a paramount role in the promotion,” said Bob Arum, who is putting on the fight along with Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. “It’s helped us sell the tickets, helped us get the publicity. … Whatever works.”

Cowboys new state-of-the-art stadium is in demand, besides being the home field for the Cowboys and now the host for Pacquiao-Clottey, the stadium also host many big sporting events like the annual AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic, NBA All-Star Game, the 2011 Super Bowl and the 2014 NCAA Men’s basketball Final Four. Massive Waves Hits Louis Cruise ship in France

The Spain’s maritime rescue service make a sound with a BIG Buzz as they announced that there is a 26-foot waves slammed into the Louis Majesty cruise ship in the Mediterranean a while ago.

Leaving two passengers dead and six injured. Police in Greece said among passengers killed was German and also the other was Italian. They said there were 1,350 passengers in the ship and 580 crew, including the Greek captain.
The wave “smashed windows inside the lounge area” of the Maltese-flagged Louis Majesty, a spokesman to the service told AFP.

The accident occurred Wednesday evening from the coast of Spain’s northeastern Catalonia region since the vessel, run with the Cypriot-based Louis Cruise Lines, was en route to the Italian port of Genoa.

“The windows in a public area on deck 5 on the forward part of the vessel smashed resulting (in) the fatal injury of two passengers of German and Italian nationality while 14 more passengers suffered light injuries,” the line says in a statement. Read more

Avatar fandom has reached it new heights!

BEIJING (Reuters) – A craggy peak in a scenic part of southern China has been renamed after floating mountains featured in Hollywood blockbuster “Avatar,” with the province hoping to cash in on the movie’s massive success.

The “Southern Sky Column” in Zhangjiajie in southern Hunan province formally had its named changed to “Avatar Hallelujah Mountain” in a ceremony on Monday, according to the Zhangjiajie government’s official website (www.zjj.gov.cn).

Tourists can now join a “Magical tour to Avatar-Pandora” or a “Miracle tour to Avatar’s floating mountain,” the Zhangjiajie branch of China International Travel Service Corp said on its website. (www.citszjj.com)

“Pandora is far but Zhangjiajie is near,” the municipal government added on its website. “Welcome to Zhangjiajie to see ‘Avatar’s Hallelujah Mountains’ and discover the real world of Pandora.”

PHIVOLCS–DOST Update: Philippines – Mayon Volcano (13.2576 N, 123.6856 E) continued to show an intense level of activity during the past 24-hour observation period. Seismic activity remained elevated in number and size as the seismic network detected 1,051 volcanic earthquakes and continuously recorded harmonic tremors. Many of these volcanic earthquakes were recorded at maximum deflection. Sixty six (66) ash explosions were observed during times of good visibility. These explosions produced grayish to light brown ash columns that reached height from 100 to 1000 meters above the summit before drifting towards southwest.

Chris HenryCincinnati Bengals receiver Chris Henry has died, one day after falling out of the back of a moving pickup truck during a domestic dispute with his 25-year-old fiancee, Loleini Tonga. Henry died last December 17, 2009 from injuries sustained a day earlier in a vehicular accident. He was 26 when he lost his life this year.

Tiger WoodsAP FOX News reported Tiger Woods’ Canadian Doctor is in hot water. This Canadian Doctor, Dr. Anthony Galea who allegedly treated certain performance-enhancing drugs to golfer Tiger Woods and some other pro athletes.

The doctor is facing Drug Case and he is now under a joint U.S.-Canadian investigation whom he was arrested Oct. 15 in Toronto, and the FBI has been brought into the case according to a U.S. official last Tuesday. Read more
