As part of the Iloilo Dinagyang Festival 2010 in the Hall of Fame distinction, an annual search for the Miss Iloilo Dinagyang has been conceptualized to represent Ilonggo beauties all over the world.
A project of the Miss Iloilo Dinagyang Committee in partnership with the Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation Inc. which aimed at building the capacities and potentials of the candidates and to provide them with purposeful activities that would give meaning to their bid as candidates vying for the most coveted title Miss Iloilo Dinagyang. 2010 Iloilo Dinagyang Festival “In The Hall of Fame” Distinction
As concord by the triumviri of the Iloilo City Government, Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation, Inc. (IDFI), and San Jose Parish, this year’s 2010 Dinagyang Festival has its own distinction.
This new branding is an indicative achievement declared by the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) as the Best Tourism Event in the Philippines for four consecutive years. Thus, the new distinction has been given as “Dinagyang Festival in the Hall of Fame.”
This is a week-long celebration showcasing Ilonggo culture in honor of Senor Santo Nino, the Child Jesus. Read more
IWAG Festival in the Christmas Capital of Western Visayas
Pototan is a first class municipality northwest of Iloilo city dubbed as the “Christmas Capital of Western Visayas” because of its yearly Christmas Festival of Lights known as IWAG Festival.
During the Christmas season, the artistry of ‘Pototanons’ is exhibited through the unique and grand display of Christmas lights and decors. The town’s plaza and municipal hall is garbed into glittering and colorful lights as local craftsmanship are depicted in the style, arrangement, and designs of several lights, ornaments and displays.
