As part of the Iloilo Dinagyang Festival 2010 in the Hall of Fame distinction, an annual search for the Miss Iloilo Dinagyang has been conceptualized to represent Ilonggo beauties all over the world.
A project of the Miss Iloilo Dinagyang Committee in partnership with the Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation Inc. which aimed at building the capacities and potentials of the candidates and to provide them with purposeful activities that would give meaning to their bid as candidates vying for the most coveted title Miss Iloilo Dinagyang. Kudos fellow Ilonggos! The Iloilo-born and true-blooded Ilonggo Oliver Exmundo is the man behind those well-known Hollywood Box Office Hits Anime films. Currently, he is a Senior Animator at Weta Digital. Weta is the New Zealand-based outfit that created the visual effects of the world-famous The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy.
Oliver is a graduate of the Etobicoke School of Arts in Toronto, and the Ontario College of Arts and received his Diploma in Classical Animation from the Sheridan College in Ontario. Read more
2010 Iloilo Dinagyang Festival “In The Hall of Fame” Distinction
As concord by the triumviri of the Iloilo City Government, Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation, Inc. (IDFI), and San Jose Parish, this year’s 2010 Dinagyang Festival has its own distinction.
This new branding is an indicative achievement declared by the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) as the Best Tourism Event in the Philippines for four consecutive years. Thus, the new distinction has been given as “Dinagyang Festival in the Hall of Fame.”
This is a week-long celebration showcasing Ilonggo culture in honor of Senor Santo Nino, the Child Jesus. Read more
IWAG Festival in the Christmas Capital of Western Visayas
Pototan is a first class municipality northwest of Iloilo city dubbed as the “Christmas Capital of Western Visayas” because of its yearly Christmas Festival of Lights known as IWAG Festival.
During the Christmas season, the artistry of ‘Pototanons’ is exhibited through the unique and grand display of Christmas lights and decors. The town’s plaza and municipal hall is garbed into glittering and colorful lights as local craftsmanship are depicted in the style, arrangement, and designs of several lights, ornaments and displays. The heART Campaign is a new movement that aims to inspire people through different forms of art.
Started by the UPV Marketing Society Inc., an academic group of BS BA major in Marketing students of University of the Philippines in the Visayas.
The campaign was successfully launched last Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the SM City Iloilo Activity Center. I’ve meet several talented Ilonggos who have passion in various forms of arts. Read more

Ms. Earth 2009 Candidates Vied for Best in Talent
ILOILO, Philippines – The Ms. Earth 2009 Final Talent Competition was successfully held at Central Philippine University Rose Memorial Auditorium, Jaro, Iloilo City last night. Fifteen (15) talented candidates were performed.
Ms. Tahiti, Bahamas and Pakistan gained so much attention and big impact from the audience for their highly appreciated performances. Ms. Tahiti showcased her Hawaiian dance, Ms. Bahamas played saxophone while Ms. Pakistan performed her sexy belly dancing. Read more

ILOILO, Philippines – Stunning beauties and sexy ladies came from other parts of the world are coming to dominate Iloilo this November 17, 2009, 7:00 PM for the Ms. Earth 2009 Final Talent Competition live at Central Philippine University Rose Memorial Auditorium, Jaro, Iloilo City.
Miss Earth delegates were divided into three groups, which held simultaneous talent preliminary competitions in three different locations. The winning candidate from each group will compete for the final talent competition at CPU. Read more
